An Indian Tamil language production made in 1950 for Pakshiraja Studios in Coimbatore. It was directed by K. Ramnoth and starring V. Nagiah as Jean Valjean and Seetharaman as Javert. The latter was so effective in the role that the character became attached to his name and he was thus popularly known as Javert Seetharaman.
