Les Misérables, 1933

As in 1925, the French are very faithful to the original story in this 4 and a half hour adaptation divided into three parts. Raymond Bernard's directing along with quality of acting makes this a great film.

A three minute trailer was also made to promote it.

The short film clips you see in the 1995 adaptation with Jean-Paul Belmondo, is from this one.

Some sources say this adaptation was released in 1934. The correct year is 1933.
